Textile Commissions
Each of Dana Boussard’s numerous commissioned textiles is born, not out of a single concept, but from her sentiment about the connection that we people have with each other and with the environment. Through a combination of craftsmanship and poetry, her work elevates the surroundings. Each artwork subsequently speaks to the individual space, and those who use it, binding historical narrative and the artist’s personal vision.
Boussard has artwork in the collections of numerous private, corporate and public buildings around the country. Examples of her large-scale work can be seen in the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, West One Bank Corporation, Boise Idaho, The Casey Foundation, Seattle, Washington, Timberline Lodge, Mt. Hood, Oregon and the AARP Headquarters, Washington,D.C. among others.
